The City I LoveWritten by 2 Comments
This was taken during Gallery Night in Downtown Pensacola just before midnight. Thankfully I had Matthew with me because he has an incredible eye for composition. Anything we do as a team is always 10x better then when I try to go it alone. It’s a miracle because we both have very strong artistic perspective but we don’t step on each others toes creatively. This is my second attempt at HDR and Matthew’s first. I’m really happy with how vibrant and full of movement this shot turned out being that it was also our first time doing any long exposure night shots. We took a series of long exposure shots and used different exposure rates so that we would capture both the detail of the buildings and the movement of traffic when the shots were fused into one. Comment and let us know what you think of this night shot. Or if you have some productive tips for us in the future, please share. We entered this in a local photo competition and if selected it will hang in an exhibition in the Pensacola Museum of Art. That would be a huge honor, so fingers crossed.
This photo was selected to be featured in an exhibit at the Pensacola Museum of Art on September 9th 2013.
